Applications like Cheat Engine, WeMod, and Squalr are commonly used to modify game memory and behavior. These tools, often referred to as memory editors, enable players to alter in-game values such as health, ammunition, or resources.
However, memory editors require low-level access to system memory, which is restricted in cloud environments like Shadow PC. Additionally, many games use anti-cheat software (e.g., BattlEye, Easy Anti-Cheat) to prevent memory modifications, which can lead to game crashes, bans, or other unintended behavior.
Some memory editors may also include unwanted software (junkware or bloatware) that is incompatible with Shadow PC. Installing such software may cause issues that render your Shadow PC unavailable.
How to remove incompatible software on Shadow PC
If installing a memory editor or similar tool causes issues, you have three possible solutions:
- Uninstall the app or program in Windows.
- If Shadow PC enters Recovery Mode, use this opportunity to uninstall the software.
- Restore Shadow PC with a factory reset.
