Shadow Error G-468 – Maintenance Message
Introduction
When starting your Shadow, you may see the following error message:
"Your Shadow is under maintenance. Please try again later."
This error G468 occurs when your Shadow PC is temporarily unavailable due to activation delays, scheduled maintenance, or reset issues. Follow the steps below to determine the cause and find a solution.
Cause
The G-468 error can occur for the following reasons:
- New Subscription – If you recently subscribed to Shadow PC, your setup may not be complete. You will receive an email confirmation once your Shadow PC is activated.
- Scheduled Maintenance – If your Shadow was previously accessible, this message means that maintenance is in progress. Maintenance helps improve system performance and temporarily prevents access. Check the status page for updates.
- Reset Delays – If you have recently reset your Shadow and waited at least 30 minutes but still see this message, the reset process may not have completed properly.
Solution
Follow these steps based on your situation:
- New Subscription – Wait for the activation email before attempting to connect.
- Shadow is Under Maintenance – Wait until maintenance is complete before accessing your Shadow PC. Check the status page for updates on availability.
- Recent Reset – Wait at least 30 minutes and try again. If the error persists, attempt another reset from your account page.
