Issue
When attempting to stream content on Shadow PC, you may encounter various issues such as a black screen, error messages, or interruptions in video playback. These problems often occur with streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and others that use DRM (Digital Rights Management) protection.
Cause
Shadow PC, like other virtual machines, is incompatible with HDCP (High-Definition Digital Content Protection).
HDCP is a protection standard designed to prevent piracy. Shadow PC doesn't support the direct hardware access required for HDCP to function properly, causing video playback issues.
Solution
To resolve video streaming issues caused by HDCP incompatibility, try the following:
- Disable hardware acceleration in your browser's settings.
- Instead of using your browser to stream, download the app from the Microsoft Store (if available).
Disable Hardware Acceleration
Follow the steps for your specific browser. Restart your browser to apply the changes.
