Cause
You may have attempted to view content that has been blocked to prevent users from pirating content. Shadow is not permitted to stream copyrighted content from video-on-demand services (such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, HBO, and Hulu) or other content protected by law.
To remove this S:102 error, close the Shadow PC window and the launcher, then reopen it. Or use ALT+F4 to close Shadow PC.
Possible Solutions
Try the solutions provided below to prevent the S-102 error from happening again.
If the issue persists, the content you're viewing is protected by Digital Rights Management (DRM) or High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP). Shadow does not have the right to stream protected content to your device or it is incompatible with the streaming service.
Disconnect and Reconnect HDMI
Disconnect the HDMI cord plugged into your monitor and plug it back in to restart HDMI detection. It's possible the video player was unable to detect that your monitor supports HDCP. Restarting HDMI detection may resolve the issue.
Disable Hardware or Graphics Acceleration

- Mozilla Firefox: Click Menu ☰ → Settings → General → Performance.
- Microsoft Edge: Click Settings and more ⋯ and search for Use graphics acceleration when available.
