Bring your Windows Enterprise License to Shadow PC (BYOL)

The Bring Your Own License (BYOL) option allows you to use your existing Windows 10 Enterprise (E3 or E5, 64-bit) license on your Shadow PC. Windows BYOL licenses are not linked to a specific server or machine, making them a great solution for a service like Shadow PC.

How to Bring Your Own License

To bring your own Windows Enterprise license, you'll need an active Shadow PC Pro subscription.

Subscribe to Shadow PC

If you don't have a Shadow PC pro subscription, choose an offer and subscribe.

Shadow may offer you the option of purchasing a Windows Enterprise license during the subscription process if they are in stock.

Create a New Shadow PC

To use your Windows Enterprise license on Shadow PC, follow these steps to create a new PC.

  1. On your account page, click Shadow PC → PCs.
  2. Click + New Shadow PC to create a new PC.
  3. Choose your PC configuration:
    1. Select an offer to choose your desired hardware specifications.
    2. On the next screen, add extra storage (if needed) and edit your preferred PC language.
  4. Under Operating System, choose "Use your own Windows license".
  5. Check the box to certify that you own a genuine Windows Enterprise license.
  6. Confirm your payment details and complete your order.
  7. Assign the Shadow PC to a user.

Activate Windows

After your Shadow PC is created, you’ll need to activate Windows using your existing Windows Enterprise license.

  1. Log in to your Shadow PC.
  2. Follow the Windows activation process.
