Shadow Drive allows you to store files securely across your devices. You can add new files and folders using the desktop client, web app, or mobile apps. If you've enabled synchronization, your files will be updated automatically.
Desktop client
- Open the Shadow Drive desktop client.
- Click the Folder icon.
- Add files and folders.
- Right-click the window and create a new file or folder.
- Drag and drop files or folders into the window.
Web app
- Log in to the Shadow Drive wep app.
- Click All files on the left.
- Click+ Add to upload a new file.
Mobile apps
- Open the Shadow Drive app on your mobile device.
- Tap the + button at the bottom of your screen to upload new files, photos, or videos.
Note: If you want to upload photos or videos, you may need to enable file uploading permissions in your phone’s settings.
Upload specifications & limitations
- The maximum file size for uploads is 20 GB.
- All file types are supported.
- You can upload up to 15 files simultaneously.
- The expected upload speed is 100 MB per second.

Yes, Shadow Drive uses a modernized version of the Nextcloud solution’s anti-file conflict algorithm, which is one of the most optimized available today.
Can I restore files if I accidentally delete them?
Yes, deleted files are moved to a recycle bin, similar to the one in Windows or macOS. Files will stay in the recycle bin until it’s emptied, allowing you to restore them if needed.
