G-Sync / V-Sync / Freesync compatibility

Updated

V-Sync, Vertical Sync, or vertical synchronization is a graphics setting designed to smooth images and avoid the phenomenon of "screen tearing" (or tearing images).

G-Sync and Freesync are Nvidia and AMD's respective solutions for this technology.

ARE THE SHADOW BOX AND SHADOW GHOST COMPATIBLE WITH THIS SETTING?

The Shadow Box and the Shadow Ghost are not compatible with these three options and there are no plans to make them for one reason: Shadow has specifically integrated an anti-tearing solution directly into its architecture.

Therefore, going through another option of this type would be redundant and would not improve your image quality. Worse, it would result in a loss of performance without any gain in quality.

Note that this incompatibility does not concern applications.
