Pair a Bluetooth device with the Shadow Ghost

The Shadow Ghost has Bluetooth 4.1 technology, letting you pair any Bluetooth capable devices compatible with Shadow. To pair your device with the Shadow Ghost:

  1. Enable Bluetooth on the Shadow Ghost

  2. Make Your Device Discoverable

  3. Pair Your Device with Shadow

Enable Bluetooth on the Shadow Ghost

Turn on your Shadow Ghost, then go to the Bluetooth settings icons8-bluetooth-24.png. You can find the Bluetooth settings at the bottom of the login screen, or at the top of the screen after you've logged in.

Check the box to enable Bluetooth to make the Shadow Ghost discoverable. If you've already connected a device to Shadow, you'll see it on this screen.

Make Your Device Discoverable

To help the Shadow Ghost find your device, you'll need to make your device discoverable and ready to pair.

For help making your device discoverable, choose from the list of devices below, or refer to the instructions from your manufacturer.

Pair Your Device with Shadow

Once your device is discoverable, it will appear in the Available Devices list. Choose your device from the list to begin pairing. The Shadow Ghost will confirm when the device is connected. A green checkmark ✔ will also appear next to the device when it is on and paired.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will I need to pair my devices again in the future?

You should not need to pair your device again unless it has been unpaired. the Shadow Ghost will automatically detect your device once Bluetooth is activated.

Can I pair my device using Windows on Shadow?

It is not possible to manage Bluetooth devices from the Windows operating system on Shadow. Bluetooth is managed from the Shadow Ghost launcher exclusively.

I'm experiencing issues with Shadow after pairing a device.

Use the launcher to shut down Shadow. To get back to the launcher after you've started Shadow, press the power button. Do not hold down the power button as this will shut off your Shadow Ghost.

Shadow no longer recognizes my Bluetooth device.

If your Bluetooth device has unpaired after a period of inactivity and will not re-pair:

  1. Go to the launcher.

  2. Delete the device from the Bluetooth settings.

  3. Re-pair the device with your Shadow Ghost.

You may need to shut down Shadow to finish pairing your device.
