Referral, promo, and sponsor codes, and how they work

Referral, promo, or sponsor codes can be used used to discount the very first month of your Shadow subscription and help spread the love for Shadow. Every Shadow user receives their own referral code with their Shadow account. When you refer a friend to Shadow with your referral code, your friend gets an immediate discount on their first month. This is called a referral. You (the referee) will receive an ongoing credit starting on your next Shadow bill or once your referral's Shadow has been activated.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Referral: a new Shadow subscriber who has used a referral code from a current Shadow user

  • Referee: an active Shadow user who has a referral code that has been used by a referral

Log in to your account page and click on the “Referrals” tab on the left-hand side. Here, you’ll find a unique alphanumeric code that you can copy and share with your friends, family, peers, and rivals.

When you apply a referral code at checkout, you'll receive a $5 discount for your first full month of Shadow. Once your Shadow has been activated, your referee will receive a $1 credit for every month you continue your Shadow subscription.

📝 Note: Although referrals will receive an immediate discount, referees may not see a discount until the renewal of their subscription (next invoice).

  1. Visit the store at https://eu.shadow.tech/shop/catalog.

  2. Click Subscribe Now.

  3. Enter your code into the "Enter a code" box, then click Apply. If the code is valid, the code and discount will be displayed in the order summary.

  4. Proceed to checkout and receive a discount.

Referral, promo, or sponsor codes are only available to new or returning users. Existing users with an active subscription cannot use a code.

Yes! To see how many people you have referred to Shadow:

  1. Log in to your account page.

  2. Click the "Referral" tab on the left-hand side.

  3. View the Tracker.

📝 Note: Referrals are counted as long as the referral's subscription is active when the referee's monthlyu renewal occurs.

Due to temporary technical limitations, our system is currently limited to 10 referrals per user.

Once your referral code has been redeemed, a credit will be applied to your subscription once it renews (new invoice). If your subscription is inactive, your credit will be forfeited, and the referral tracker will be reset to 0.

There are no plans to do so at this time.

Yes. As long as they share the same currency.

Example: If you are living in France (EURO), you can refer someone living in Germany (EURO) but you can't refer someone living in Switzerland (CHF).
