Welcome to #TeamShadow!

We're glad you've decided—or may decide—to join the future of cloud gaming. Once you've subscribed to Shadow, you'll receive a confirmation email. We'll send you another email once your Shadow is activated and ready for you to use.

Follow the steps in this article for help setting up your Shadow and tips.

📝 Note: To see activation estimates in your service area, check our website. If you've already preordered Shadow, head to your account page and click the My Orders tab to see when your Shadow will be ready.

Shadow is available on devices with Windows, macOS, Android, iOS, and Ubuntu operating systems. Check our device requirements for more details.

If you're using the Shadow Ghost, continue to Getting Started with the Shadow Ghost.

To download Shadow:

  1. Log in to My Account.

  2. Click the Shadow applications tab.

  3. Find your operating system and click Download.

Log in to the Shadow Launcher using the email and password you created for Shadow.

If it's your first time logging in with this device, we'll need to make sure it's you. Authorize your device with Shadow to finish logging in.

You're moments away from streaming Shadow. Before you click Start, check out the other settings available in the Shadow Launcher and connect your USB devices. We've provided a list of articles below to help:

Why can't I log in to Shadow?

It's possible your Shadow has not been activated. We'll send you a confirmation email when your Shadow is activated and ready to go. Check your email's spam folder.

If you're receiving an error message, search the help center or contact support.

When does my subscription begin?

Your subscription begins the moment your Shadow is activated. We'll do our best to tell you if there are any delays in advance.

Where is my authentication code?

Authentication emails may take up to 10 minutes to appear in your inbox. Check your spam/junk folder for any emails from Shadow and avoid requesting multiple codes at once.

If you haven't received an authentication email from Shadow in 20 minutes, contact Support.

I'm experiencing issues with Shadow. How do I fix this?

Your device, internet connection, and Shadow's settings all factor into your experience. For help setting up Shadow for the first time, we recommend the following articles:
