Cancel my Shadow subscription

This article explains how to cancel your Shadow subscription and answers related questions. If you need help before canceling, search the Help Center or contact Support.

You can cancel your subscription:

  • Anytime before your renewal date on your account page.

  • At least ten days before your renewal date if you cancel via other methods, such as postal mail or contacting Support.

Note: The above timeframes refer to when SHADOW receives your cancellation request, not when the request is sent.

How to cancel your subscription

You can cancel your Shadow subscription from your account page or by contacting Support. Once your subscription is cancelled, your account page will be updated and you'll receive a confirmation email. You may continue to use your Shadow subscription until the end of your current billing month.

Note: Your data will be deleted after your subscription ends. Back up your files from Shadow PC before the end of your subscription or download your files from Shadow Drive.

From your account

To cancel your Shadow PC subscription from your account page:

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Under Shadow PC, click All my PCs.

  3. Select the Shadow PC subscription you'd like to cancel.

  4. Click Settings Cancel my subscription.

  5. Confirm you'd like to cancel your subscription.

A final summary will appear with your billing cycle end date.

Note: Shadow PC will only retain data from the primary storage (C:) for seven days when the subscription ends. To download your data before it is deleted, contact Support. Additional storage from the (D:) drive cannot be recovered. Transfer files from Shadow PC to your local computer or device before your subscription ends.

To cancel your Shadow Drive subscription from your account page:

  1. Log in to your account.

  2. Under Shadow Drive, click Edit next to the offer you'd like to cancel.

  3. Click Cancel my subscription.

  4. Confirm you'd like to cancel your subscription.

A final summary will appear with your billing cycle end date.

Note: Shadow Drive does not retain your data for any amount of time and will be deleted when the subscription is terminated.

For help cancelling your Shadow subscription, contact Support by submitting a ticket or sending a postal letter to one of the following addresses:

To identify and authenticate your account, all cancellation requests must include the following:

  • Your name(s), surname(s), and email address registered to the subscription.

  • The reason you'd like to cancel your subscription.

Related questions

You can reactivate your subscription anytime before your billing cycle end date from your account page. You cannot resume your Shadow subscription after it has already ended, but you can resubscribe to any of the offers available on the website.

As incidated in the Privacy Policy on our website, SHADOW is required to collect and retain some personal data, such as your invoices.

You can delete your personal data once the subscription has been terminated for more than 24 hours and all invoices or outstanding payments have been paid.

Cancellations are effective at the end of the billing cycle and do not constitute a refund. Unless an imperative statutory provision provides otherwise, SHADOW will not make any refund due to the termination of the Services.

There are no cancellation fees.

If you've missed a payment, your subscription is considered past due and will incur an unpaid balance. Any unpaid balances on your account must be paid in full before you or Support can make any modifications to your subscription(s).

To avoid a missed payment, submit your cancellation request before your subscription is due to renew.
