Store a file with Shadow Drive

Shadow Drive allows you to store, share, and synchronize files.

This article will focus on one of the main feature options, which is to store files.

How to store new files and folders on Shadow Drive?

You can store new files and folders from every platform where Shadow Drive is available.

Please note that these files and folders will be automatically synchronized if you enable synchronization via Shadow Drive.

If synchronization is not enabled, you can look at our installation guide to synchronize your first files and folders.

Desktop

Open your client.

Click the Folder button to open your synchronized folder with Shadow Drive and store new files and folders in it.

Note: If you synchronized several folders with Shadow Drive, you can access each of them by following the instructions below:

Open your client.

Click your profile name.

Click "Settings".

Click the three dots buttons next to the folder of your choice to open a dropdown menu.

Click "Open folder".

Shadow Drive Web Version

Access the Web Version.

Access the "All Files" tab from the left menu.

Click the "+ Add" button to upload a new file.

Mobile applications

Open your mobile application.

On the bottom of your screen, click the + button to upload new photos, videos, or files.

Note: It might be necessary to access the Shadow Drive options in your phone settings to enable photos and video uploading.

Upload Specs & Limitations

The following limitations should be taken into account when storing files on Shadow Drive:

  1. The maximum file size that can be uploaded on Shadow Drive is 20 GB.

  2. For the moment, all file types can be uploaded.

  3. Up to 15 uploads can be done simultaneously.

  4. The expected upload speed is 100MB.
